Starting Mon. April 13, Hidden Falls expands hours for equestrian partial day reservations

To efficiently manage parking during the COVID-19 social distancing period, parking reservations are required on a daily basis. In order to respond to the request of the equestrian community, Placer County Parks has changed the partial reservation times for equestrian parking at Hidden Falls. Before this new change, the morning AM reservations were for only 3 hours (6:30 am to 9:30 am) and the afternoon PM reservations also for only 3 hours (2:30 pm to 6:30 pm). This left the five hours from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm open and unused.

Placer County Parks has expanded the AM and PM hours for the eight equestrian spaces and without adding any more people in the park. The new hours will mean a more enjoyable experience for those riding in the park. The new hours are for the AM partial day reservation will be sunrise to 1:00 pm,  and the PM partial day reservation will be from 1:30 pm to sunset. There will be a half-hour space from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm to allow the morning people to leave and the afternoon people to arrive.

The full day reservation hours are unchanged, but the way you reserve the space is new. If you wish to ride for a full day, you will need to purchase a morning AM reservation AND a PM reservation for that day.

Prices are the same $4 for a partial day and $4 + $4 = $8 for a full day reservation.
There are only 8 equestrian spaces for reservations, so if they are sold out, the reservation will say SESSION FULL so you can select another day.
