
Francomb’s leadership experience was formulated while in the United States Army, graduating from West Point and serving as a Field Artillery Officer in Germany. Later he earned a Master of Science in Environmental Science.
David Francomb was Deputy Forest Supervisor for the Boise National Forest. He began his role as the Deputy Forest Supervisor for the Boise National Forest on August 16, 2020. Prior to this assignment, David served with the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests in Vermont and New York where he was the Manchester District Ranger.
His leadership accomplishments cross many program areas including energy development (oil, gas and wind), recreation and wilderness management and the ability to work collaboratively on challenging issues and projects resulting in positive outcomes.
