A Grass Valley resident and 20-year district employee, Reyes succeeds longtime Recreation Manager Peggy Davidson, who is retiring.
Reyes, a graduate of California State University Hayward, moves up from her position as NID’s customer account administrator, where she supervised customer service, meter reading and cashiering.
With an annual budget of $2.6 million, the NID Recreation Department employs seven, including the manager, three park rangers, two facilities rangers, and a recreation assistant. During the busy summer months, the department hires up to 60 temporary seasonal workers.
