Nevada County Supervisor Ed Scofield received a letter from Forest Supervisor Tom Quinn informing him that the Tahoe National Forest is working with Truckee Donner Land Trust and the Trust for Public Land to purchase 441 acres located in Nevada County.
The area is referred to as Castle Valley Pacific Crest Trail. There is heavy use from people accessing the Pacific Crest Trail, the Hole in the Ground trail and the Donner Rim Trail.
The letter from the Forest Service and a map of the area can be found HERE.
