Auburn SRA reopening parking May 15, 2020

State Parks will be reopening several parking and vehicle access areas in ASRA starting tomorrow as part of the Governor’s Stage II Roadmap.

The following areas will be reopened during this phase:

• · China Bar
  
• · Auburn Staging Area
  
• · Murphy’s Gate on Highway 49
  
• · Mammoth Bar OHV Area
  
• · The Driver’s Flat Staging Area
  
• · The Auburn Sector Office will reopen on Monday

The following areas will remain on a soft closure status (area open to entry, but parking closed) and will be evaluated for reopening regularly:

• · Highway 49 roadside parking from the Auburn Sector Office to above the passing lane on the El Dorado County side
  
• · Old Foresthill Road roadside parking from the highway 49 bridge to Mammoth Bar
  
• · The Quarry Parking Lot
  
• · Upper and Lower Lake Clementine
  
• · Robie Point
  

State Park Campgrounds, special events and tours throughout the state will remain closed at this time.
