GOLD COUNTRY TRAILS COUNCIL in Nevada County.
With over 400 active equestrian members and growing, they are the largest local equestrian trails group in California. Established in 1981, they are a 501c3 nonprofit organization who is successful in their mission: "GCTC is an organization committed to develop, maintain, and advocate for safe integrated trails for equestrians and other non-motorized users." They are responsible for building the Pioneer Trail, the Skillman Horse Camp, Little Lasier Horse Camp, and much more, including raising funds for cooperative projects.
