The Eppie’s Kid’s Duathlon and Fitness Festival will take place along the American River Parkway and in Discovery Park on Sunday October 18, 2015. The duathlon will start and end at Discovery Park, with participants biking on the American River Parkway up to Del Paso Boulevard. The American River Parkway Multi-use Trail will be closed from Discovery Park upstream to Del Paso Boulevard from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Aid stations will be set up at approximately every mile.
In addition, Discovery Park picnic roads and a portion of Natomas Park Drive, Garden Highway exit lane, in Discovery Park will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Natomas Park Drive; Garden Highway exit lane will be reopened no later than 10am.
