The 43rd annual American River Classic Endurance Ride, the oldest A.E.R.C. sanctioned 50 mile endurance ride in the world, will be held this weekend. The ride follows the Pioneer Express Trail along the American River up to the Auburn Staging Area. From there the ride follows the Western States Trail through the American River canyon, on up to Cool, around part of the Olmsted Loop, down into Coffer Dam (around Salt Creek loop), into Cool and on back to Auburn.
Staging will begin at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA, trail map above.

This is a big ride and all trail users should be aware of the riders on those trails. It would be best those not participating in this ride use different trails on Saturday.
