Motorcycle Enduros planned for May 7, 2017 and October 28, 2017.
The Forest Service is in the process of issuing a permit to the California Enduro Riders Association to conduct the 2017 Fools Gold Enduro on May 7 and the 2017 Crazy Miner Family Enduro on October 28, 2017. As many as 300 participants may take part in each of these enduros, which are located on the Rock Creek Trail System on the Georgetown Ranger District on the Eldorado National Forest. The enduros will start and finish at the Mace Mill Staging Area. The Fools Gold Enduro will use trails around Mace Mill Staging Area, Rock Creek Road, Slate Mountains and Darling Ridge. The Fools Gold Enduro will start at approximately 8:00 AM and be completed around 6:00 PM. The Crazy Miner Family Enduro will use trails around Mace Mill, Rock Creek Road, Ballarat Canyon and Darling Ridge. The Crazy Miner Family Enduro will start at approximately 8:00 AM and end around 4:00 PM.
If you are riding in these areas on this date, PLEASE FOLLOW ALL THE COURSE MARKINGS (ARROWS) TO AVOID COLLISIONS WITH ENDURO RIDERS. Portions of the Rock Creek Road would be closed for public safety during these events."

"Course - The course is approximately 80 miles in length. It will be over single track, double track and some
fire roads. We cannot keep weekend riders out of the forest so be aware of non competitors that may wander onto the course."
