PLACER CO TRAILS AND PARKS PLAN DRAFT NOW COMPLETED FOR THE PLACER COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEB. 5
There has been confusion over whether trail users need to be in attendance at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Feb. 5. The County has confirmed that the Draft Plan of Master Trails and Parks, with maps, WILL be presented to the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, February 05, 2019, 9:00 a.m.
County Administrative Center, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603

YES, YOU ARE NEEDED FOR HIDDEN FALLS
No, this meeting is not where the Plan will receive its final approval, BUT, a first formal presentation to the BOS.  There will always be some homeowners opposed to any public park or trails close to them, so if the trail-using public isn't there to tell the Board of the use and enjoyment of public parks and trails and of their support of the Plan presented...well, you can see what might happen.

10:45 a.m. A.    Update | Countywide Park, Trail and Open Space Master Plan
1.    Receive an update on the progress of the Placer County Park, Trail, and Open Space Master Plan and provide feedback on key principles and proposed capital improvement program.

SAVE HIDDEN FALLS EXPANSION
Hidden Falls is the crown jewel of all Placer County Parks and a priority in the Plan for expansion. All trail users are supportive of this expansion of trails and parking (reservation only) on the north side. Included with the new parking area will be the same reservation parking system that has been so successful in relieving congestion at the Mears Place parking. By spreading the parking and expanding the reservation system, all citizens and trail users will be better served.

Updates to the Plan will be accessed HERE.
