The SacFit Parkway Half Marathon will take place on the American River Parkway on Saturday, April 29. The event starts and ends at the William B. Pond Recreation Area, with runners going upstream 6.5 miles to the Sunrise Recreation Area and walkers going downstream 6.5 miles to the Guy West Bridge.
The Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail will be closed from Sunrise Boulevard downstream to the Guy West Bridge from 6 a.m. to noon. There will be aid stations set up at approximately every one mile.
