According to a phone update, the popular Stewart's Horse Camp in Pt. Reyes will be unable to open as planed on Aprile 28, 2017. If the weather holds up, they will try for May 5th and will start taking reservations (by phone only) on May 4th.
Because of the record rain, trail maintenance has been an issue and the Forest Service has been unable to access areas that need upkeep. There are several trees down on Rift Zone which make the trails impassable from the horse camp to the Visitor center (Bear Valley). Trail users will be limited on some of the loops there.
