This is a small-town, home-grown event benefiting food closets on the Georgetown Divide. It's a great opportunity to share the love and help our neighbors, see old friends and make new ones. Bring the family and a can of food for each participant and work off some pre-Thanksgiving Dinner calories among the beauty of a gentle Cool, CA foothills course.
A wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving in the Gold Country! This event will start promptly at 9:00 AM. Come early (7:30-8:00 AM) to allow time to check-in and stretch. Park in the Northside School parking lot or across the street in the Cool Community Church lot. This year we will have an area for you to check in your valuables before the event. The course is generally flat, with a few gentle rises. Both 5K and 10K runs follow the same course; the 10K'ers just go longer. Make sure to wear layers, as we can't predict Mother Nature's mood. Most participants finish by 11:00 AM, but we won't wrap up until everyone is accounted for.
