The United States Forest Service (USFS) is making explosive progress in clearing some forested area for a new trail project near the Robinson Flat Campground.

The American River Trails Crew with the help of Blasters, Tom Alling and Jacob Quinn, and a Montana Drill Crew were able to blast through a hundred foot piece of rocky trail on the Golden Fleece section of the trail.
The drill crew will continue to work on the site and aim to complete the rocky section of the trail this season.According to USFS representatives, the grant-funded project would develop a 24-mile multi-use single-track width trail along Foresthill Divide Road to connect use areas and provide a challenging trail for riders with advanced skills. It will be open to motorcycles, motorized electric bicycles, mountain bikes, horses and hikers.
